Weather Update: Feb 28 - March 6

After a very wet Sunday all around The High South coverage area, the week will see sunny skies and milder temperatures all week. The Western North Carolina area will have lows in the upper 30's and highs approaching 60. Northeast Georgia will have lows in the lower to upper 40s and high temps gradually increasing from the low 60s and approach 70 by Friday!

Western North Carolina and Northeast Georgia will see a wet and very mild to warm week. Seasonal chilly temps will return Friday and for the weekend with clear weather.

Weather Update: Feb 18 - 21, 2022

Western North Carolina: Average daytime temps on the upper 40's and lows in mid to upper 20s. Clear Friday - Sunday with a chance of rain in Monday.

Northeast Georgia: As usual temps will be about 10 degrees warmer than WNC with a clear weekend and rain chances on Monday.

Weather Update: Feb 7 - 13, 2022

Western North Carolina: Warming trend this week, highs reaching 50 and lows reaching 30.

Northeast Georgia: Warning trend this week, highs approaching 60 by Friday with lows crawling out of the 20's into the low 30s. 

Shadow of the Bear! 
It is time - almost! A High South area fall (and winter) treat is the annual ‘shadow of the bear’! This phenomenon takes place near Whiteside Mountain where the late day sunset creates a shadow shaped like a bear.  With luck, The High South Media Network will stream this event live on February 22, 2022!
