Weather Update: Feb 28 - March 6

After a very wet Sunday all around The High South coverage area, the week will see sunny skies and milder temperatures all week. The Western North Carolina area will have lows in the upper 30's and highs approaching 60. Northeast Georgia will have lows in the lower to upper 40s and high temps gradually increasing from the low 60s and approach 70 by Friday!

Ski Sapphire Valley is Closed for the Season
It just go too warm, too wet, too fast for Ski Sapphire to make more snow. Ski Sapphire Valley closed Sunday, Feb 27, 2022 for the season. See you in December!

Shadow of the Bear! 
It is still time!  A High South area fall (and winter) treat is the annual ‘shadow of the bear’! This phenomenon takes place near Whiteside Mountain where the late day sunset creates a shadow shaped like a bear.  Learn More: [Shadow of the Bear]
